What Is Mini-Zine March?

It’s that time of year again, but what time is that, exactly? Why Mini Zine March, of course.

With #minizinemarch taking off, I thought I would make an updated video talking a little bit about MZM, how it started, and how you can get involved.

Happy Mini Zine March 2023!

Happy Mini-Zine March!

Eight years. Wow. Eight years, and I am still absolutely going to use the Mini-Zine March video from 2021 because my health is a dumpster fire, my energy battery is constantly low, and, well, I just like it.

If you’re not familiar, eight years ago I started declaring the entire month of March as a celebration month for all the amazing and awesome zines that fall under the half size mark. From the one-page wonders to the chunky monkey quarter sized, mini-zines are amazing, fun, easy to stick in your pocket, and more.

Unfortunately, I am currently in no condition to make this the year that there is a prompts list to follow. Still, we continue on with mini-zine focus for the month. Please don’t be shy about getting in touch or tagging me with the mini-zine creations you make (or review or otherwise feature) this month with #minizinemarch

Mini Zine March 2021

It’s Mini Zine March!

2021 marks the sixth year of declaring the entire month of March as the month for celebrating all the amazing and wonderful zines that fall under half size. From the one-page wonders to the chunky monkey quarter sized, mini-zines are amazing, fun, easy to stick in your pocket, and more.

There isn’t a prompts list as such, but if you’re celebrating in any way, please let me know! Share the links for what you’re up to.

Mini-Zine March

Hello, March! Hello, autumn (for the southern hemisphere)!

Hello Mini-Zine Month!

That’s right. If the post title and banner wasn’t quite enough to let you know, it’s definitely Mini-Zine March. This is only the second year that I’ve been doing this, so it’s not as organised or big or cool as I’d like it to be, but it’s still fun.

I think.

Last year I celebrated my love for the awesome itty bitty creations of zine makers by putting up reviews of only mini-zines for the entire month PLUS bonus reviews on Wednesday!

The tradition shall continue on! That means that the first mini-zine review of the month will be coming later today.

If you have a mini-zine, make mini-zines, like mini-zines or are happy to talk about mini-zines, you can go ahead and grab the banner above if you like. Even if you don’t, let me know about your post(s) so I can check it (them) out!

Happy Mini-Zine March!

Mini-Zine March

Happy autumn to the southern hemisphere, happy March, and happy day!

No, I am not actually that perky, but hey, it’s the beginning of a new month. Plus, I get to use alliteration, and that’s always a good day for me.

What’s up with the banner? Weeeeeell, I have been saving all my mini (A6/A7 and smaller) zines for a while now because I wanted March to be all about the mini-zines. ❤ Some of my favourite zines are itty bitties, and I figured I would reserve March for showering them with my love and adoration.

This means that all of my Thursday/Friday reviews this month will be of mini-zines PLUS I will also be putting up bonus reviews on Wednesdays.

I was going to run some giveaways as well, but my printer is dry and I have to pay for my post box, so finances aren't cool right now. But I'm hoping that the extra reviews and mini-zine focus for the month will still make it fun.

Are you working on a mini-zine? Do you have one? More? Leave a comment. 🙂
